HIQFF@school - QUEER Education

Now in its seventh year, our school programme is a matter close to our hearts:

Our school programme.

Queer films for the next generation. It is our small contribution to confronting queer hostility in schools and to informing and empowering children and young people. During the festival, Hamburg schoolchildren can experience LGBTIQ* stories on the big screen together with their classes and then discuss the topics of the films with guests.

As good opportunity for teachers to bring queer topics into the classroom, the HIQFF school programme is supported by the Diversity Working Group of the Hamburg State Institute for Teacher Training and School Development and the Magnus Hirschfeld Centre's soorum school education project.

Costs: €3 per pupil (accompanying persons free of charge) Registration & further information: schule@hiqff.de

Both films will also be shown in the evening programme.
